Molly and Charlie have fallen head over heels in love—even though they’ve never met Molly is a fashion-conscious city girl in L.A. Charlie is an earthy, mountain-biking dude from Boulder, Colorado. Each of them has big plans with their respective friends for the summer—until they discover that their parents decided to swap houses! Luckily there’s no amount of homesickness that a bit of snooping can’t cure. Charlie and Molly begin crawling under beds and poking around in closets to find out a little more about each other—and they like what they find.
Can Charlie and Molly’s long-distance romance survive jealousy, misunderstandings—and the thousand miles between them?
MTV’s Room Raiders meets You’ve Got Mail in this sweet, old-fashioned love story for the digital age. . . .

 My Thoughts:

I adored In My Room. It reminded me a lot of the two movies The Holiday and You've Got Mail, but for teens.

Molly's mom has just gotten married and for their honeymoon they have decided that to start their new family off on the right foot, they will all honeymoon together in Boulder, Colorado! Molly hates the idea... why would she want to leave her friends during summer break?

Charlie's mom has taken a teaching job in L.A. for the summer months and she doesn't want to break up the family for two months so the entire family is headed to L.A. for the summer. Charlie had planned to spend the summer with friends and them heading off to Utah for one last hoorah at the end of the summer.

So with Molly's family headed to Colorado and Charlie's family headed to L.A. whats the best solution? Their families switch houses for the summer! Charlie will be staying in Molly's room and vise versa.

Charlie and Molly begin to send emails to each other. Soon they start to realize that neither of them have ever been able to open up to anyone like they can to each other. Charlie and Molly begin to fall for each other, but how will it work with them 1000 miles away from each other?

I thought this story was amazing... It was and easy read, and I didn't put down In Your Room the entire day! I even had to let a friend know how great this book was once I was done reading it... I just couldn't hold in my excitement. In Your Room is sweet and genuine, and makes you wonder how easily it might be to fall for someone that is your complete opposite, once you get to know them. Jordanna Fraiberg made me fall into this story whole-heartedly, and without reservation. Jordanna struck a heart string and made me feel for her characters. I loved how Charlie and Molly adapted to each others lives. How easy they took to their new towns, homes and each other. I would scream it from the roof tops to get someone to read this book, because not only is it a great read but it will have the brokenhearted believing in love again!
