Haven Moore can't control her visions of a past with a boy called Ethan and a life in New York that ended in fiery tragedy. In our present, she designs beautiful dresses for her classmates with her best friend Beau. Dressmaking keeps her sane, since she lives with her widowed and heartbroken mother in her tyrannical grandmother's house in Snope City, a tiny town in Tennessee. Then an impossible group of coincidences conspire to force her to flee to New York, to discover who she is, and who she was. In New York, Haven meets Iain Morrow and is swept into an epic love affair that feels both deeply fated and terribly dangerous. Iain is suspected of murdering a rock star and Haven wonders, could he have murdered her in a past life? She visits the Ouroboros Society and discovers a murky world of reincarnation that stretches across millennia. Haven must discover the secrets hidden in her past lives, and loves, before all is lost and the cycle begins again.

I went into this books thinking it was based on something completely different than it was. I went into it without reading any type of description or review on it. I went in completely blind I guess you could say.

Haven Moore lives with her grandmother and mother in Tennessee. Her grandmother thinks that Haven has a demon that lives within her because she has been having images since she was a child. She has been seeing herself in a past life with someone named Ethan. She doesn't know why but she feels a strong pull towards Ethan. She also knows that she needs to find him but where?

Meet Iain Morrow the typical celebrity, out every night with a different girl, partying, being a delinquent. Why is Iain living this way? He is waiting... And in the mean time he is trying to get as much attention on himself as possible so that the person he is waiting for will be able to find him. In his past life Iain Morrow was Ethan and now he has spent his life waiting for Haven to find him again.

Iain and Haven have been together for thousands of years, every new life they set out to find each other again. It seems though that someone doesn't want them together and will do anything, including kill, to keep them apart!

I really liked how we got to see Haven as a little girl. We learned a lot from the visions that we got to experience with her. Every time we experienced a vision with Haven as a little girl all I could do was smile, some of the things that she was saying were just so out of character for such a young girl that I couldn't help but be a little amused. Most of the book we spend trying to figure out what happened to Haven in her past life and why so many are dead set against her finding Ethan again. Once you think you have it figured out, it twists and then you have no idea whats going to happen. There is a big religious aspect, which is not over done, I didn't feel like it was someone preaching to me and thought it fit perfectly in the aspect of the story.

I actually had to finish this book in one sitting... and that's saying something.. this is no short book! But it was just that good. Every chapter left of on a mini cliff hanger, that I just couldn't stop reading. I loved Beau who is Haven's best friend, which is one reason I believe I enjoyed the book so much. He is confident, strong willed, and out spoken. For once we saw a friend that was supportive! I fully loved this book from beginning to end. It was beautifully written and wonderfully played out.
